1. Agape International Missions

Polaris is an organization working to fight human trafficking in the United States. The organization has also helped with the writing of 127 bills related to the prevention of human trafficking and the enforcement of existing anti-slavery laws in all states and territories of the United States. The organization’s focus is around abolishing all types of slavery, including forced labor and sex work.

4. Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking

Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking is focused on the needs of survivors of human trafficking. Its services include legal aid, housing, material needs, education and medical care for people who are rescued from human trafficking situations. Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking also has programs to help survivors move beyond their past and find a life’s calling that will be rewarding to them. Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking also has arms for legislation, policy and public awareness for anti-human trafficking campaigns.

5. Urban Light

Urban Light is one of the few organizations dedicated to fighting human trafficking in boys and men. While most organizations focus their efforts against human trafficking of girls and women, Urban Light recognizes that boys are sold into the sex trade and forced labor, too. Alezandra Russel founded Urban Light after visiting Thailand and recognizing that many young boys and men were forced into sex work. Urban Light offers education, food, housing, mentors and therapy for boys and men rescued from human trafficking.
