About DePaul University
When DePaul University first established itself, it was founded within St. Vincent’s Church. The cornerstone was laid on November 14th in 1875. By 1898, the church’s name was changed to the College Building with the third flood being named St. Vincent’s College Hall. That same year, seven faculty members began their careers. During the first year of operation, 72 students were enrolled. The first group of alumni graduated with their bachelor’s degrees in the arts. In 1903, one of DePaul’s first graduating students established the Alumni Association. By 1907, St Vincent’s College became known as DePaul University. It was in the same year that enrollment reached just under 200 students. Just three years later the alumni pool expanded to a total of 51 members. In July of 1911, the first women were admitted to the university for the summer program. A year later, in 1912, DePaul University added new colleges and programs to the university’s curriculum, and enrollment was up to 540 students.

The athletic teams on campus are members of the NCAA Division I conference. Students can select from more than 350 organizations and clubs. DePaul University Application Requirements
First-year undergraduate students can submit early action applications via the Common App or DePaul’s application portal. Prospective undergraduate students should include official high school transcripts that prove students have completed a satisfactory curriculum, SAT or ACT scores, and a $40 application fee.
Graduate students seeking admissions should submit basic supplemental documents. Each of DePaul University’s graduate programs has its own unique application process. Some of the basic materials required for consideration include official transcripts, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and either GRE or GMAT scores. Graduate students should submit a $60 application fee along with their documents and completed application.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Undergraduate students who are participating in the College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM) will pay annual tuition of $41,551. Graduate students who will be enrolling in the same college will pay $865 per credit hour.
At DePaul, 70% of undergraduate students receive financial aid in the form of a scholarship. Students can also obtain financial assistance in the form of a loan, grant or work-study. The university awards students with an average scholarship of $21,473.
