Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science provides students with an understanding of the two key aspects of computer science, programming and design as well as coding. The program also focuses on the theoretical, mathematical and algorithmic aspects of computation. The program is taught with a Christian worldview with a focus on using computer science to address global problems and promote good. Students are able to apply knowledge of math, science, and engineering as well as how to design and conduct experiments. They learn to analyze and interpret data as well. About California Baptist University

In 1950. The Los Angeles Southern Baptist Association established the California Baptist College in El Monte with 42 students. The following year, enrollment had doubled and, in 1955, the school moved to larger facilities in Riverside. The California Baptist Convention took control of the school in 1953 and a charter was issued by the State of California in 1954. In 1998, the school gained university status.

Today, the school continues its mission to provide outstanding higher education with a Christian foundation. It is the mission of California Baptist College to prepare graduates who will not only use their skills and knowledge in their chosen industry but who will also spread the word of Jesus Christ.

California Baptist University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities. California Baptist University Application Requirements

In order to apply to the undergraduate degrees in either computer science or software engineering, applicants must provide official high school transcripts along with official ACT or SAT scores. Those who have earned college credit must also submit official transcripts from all college and universities attended. Applicants with more than 24 credits do not need to provide official high school transcripts or test scores.

California Baptist University Tuition and Financial Aid

Undergraduate tuition is $613 per credit hour. Because California Baptist University understands the importance of college degrees, they are committed to finding resource that will allow every student who wants to attend to achieve their higher education goals. Students may be offered grants, scholarships and college-related assistance along with loan programs. They may also be offered work-study programs if they attend on campus.

In order to qualify for assistance at California Baptist University, all students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the form must be renewed on an annual basis. Although much of the assistance offered is need-based, there are assistance programs that are based on merit.
